I
am based in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
Born in Tauranga, educated and worked in Auckland before moving back
to the Bay four years ago. At school I enjoyed all subjects but favourites
were science and technical drawing.
On
leaving school, a place I really loved, career choices
were - join the Air Force, go to Otago University and
become a Physical Education teacher or become a draughtsperson.
The choice was made for me when a job application to
a firm of Architects and Engineers was accepted. I started
as an office junior and studied part time for a Draughting
Certificate followed by NZCE Civil.
After
doing contract draughting and being an engineer's assistant
for a few years I got involved with computerised accounting
systems and helped people in their transition from manual
to computerised accounting.
A
software testing opportunity came up with a former employer
and this suited my creative, analytical personality.
It wasn't until I took up road cycling that I discovered
my real passion. I joined a recreational cycling club
and became the newsletter editor and then the webmaster.
Since
moving back to Tauranga I have started up a recreational
cycling club, cycle
BOP. I regularly take part in fun rides like Round
Lake Taupo.
I
love learning about new stuff and continually research
and keep up to date to with the Internet and online marketing
trends.

My
interests are varied and I love to learn about new stuff.
When I start working on a new site I really enjoy learning
all about a customer's products and services. What really
interests me is the science of web sites - the testing
and analysing of results.
I
spend a huge amount of time reading, researching and
analysing what makes a good web site and why some sites
are more successful than others. I want to share this
information with you.
I
am very happy to offer you the names of people who can
give you a firsthand reference of my work ethics and
character.
